Snaplet: A Flexible E Ink Wristband Computer That Senses Its Shape
Snaplet is a wrist worn thin-film wearable paper computer based on a 3.7" flexible electrophoretic (E Ink) display. It features touch sensors for navigating applications, and bend sensors that allow Snaplet to determine its current functionality depending on its shape. Phone calls can be made by removing the wrist band, and curving the screen. Calls are dropped by popping the display. Snaplet also features a flexible wacom pen tablet that allows users to write on it as if it were a piece of interactive paper.

@pcigroot This is a video about a product in its early development stage. If you only want to see products in their production-ready form then I suggest you watch iPhone commercials or something. Don't spam videos just because they're about something that's not exactly what you were looking for.

@vlptr Depends on the person. Rather than lacking skills, it's more like it's unnecessary. Do you not like the parallelism?
Anyways, we're off topic.

Its true what artists say; the best compliment you can get is when others copy you. #LOL

@liemnlime89 Do you always copy parts of people's comments when you lack the skills to come up with an original response of your own?

@vlptr The difference here is that Sony used OLEDs and this is using E-ink technology, which pretty much explains the whole color and speed you were talking about. Just because you don't see a purpose for it doesn't mean there isn't one. That's not to say that I can see a purpose for it either, but the developer probably has some ideas with it.
So, you didn't expect people to work on flexible touch screen e-ink displays? Neither did I.

Here's another one, Samsung: "Samsung flexible Amoled display demo" /watch?v=NQJvkCIEuHs
All I can say is that if you consider the technology of the "Snaplet: A Flexible E Ink Wristband Computer" not crappy and outdated, then you're just a clueless stubborn mule...sigh

@liemnlime89 It's not about WHAT I expected, it's about what I DID NOT expect. Just look at that thing ...seriously...; it's slow, it's huge, it's black & white and I don't even see any purpose for it.
Compare that with what Sony already developed 4 years ago: /watch?v=k6bkmPjVF-k
Color and a lot faster!

@vlptr No... too easy.
What exactly did you expect to come out in the year 2011? Flying cars? Intergalactic space travel? A "cure" for cancer?
