Dazzling fireworks on a handheld 3D budget with OpenGL ES
video podcast ^hk1^ by NVIDIA discusses performance coding techniques for graphics processing on handheld ^hk4^ that increase 3D graphics performance for C + + applications coded OpenGL ES .. The podcast is extremely quick, and visually compelling presentation, suggestions for matrix administration, vertex ^hk14^, visibility dedication and generate convincing volumetric explosions. It brings with each other all the suggestions by a sixty four-ship fight scene with dynamic ^hk14^ and explosions runs at 30 fps on a mobile performancehk^^. Arma II is an huge and serious war simulation. From infantry to helicopters, you are thrown into realistic conflicts in an imaginary former Soviet state.
This massive demo allows you go through the extensive training, and two missions. Skipping the training is not suggested simply because Arma II is not Call of Duty, and merely operating around shooting will result is fast death! You’re taken through all the controls, autos, parachuting… Continue reading

The fake global illumination looks cool. I'm going to have to try some of these tricks as soon as I get my OpenGL stuff going.

Pandora support OGL ES 2.0 IIRC. Unfortunately, it is quite expensive and still produces. [Developed, not quite all the shipped]

Based on this for the GP2X Wiz, it is OpenGL 1.1 ES-compliant hardware!

Floating point requires much more hardware (transistors), more power. For mobile chips, power consumption is at a premium, even in floating point hardware, it would not be the power-hungry fast way it will slow the sein.Integer type is much faster, not just because u do not have the point move, but you can multiply faster by using a combination of shifts and adds, and thus several times the distance of one (and share) unit. It also draws less power.

FPUs add size and the costs and left out much power to your mobile CPU so often, a fixed point is way faster on the CPU, usually 6-10x.Die bad case of Floating-Point Add an integer machine - it is a in single-cycle fixed point add, but for swimmers, there are separate mantissa and exponent, move to remove the sign bit based on the difference of exponents of the basis, add, add renormalize after changing to ...

Why they are floating points of mobile processors? Integer operations are really all that much faster?
